1766年2月18日,奴隶船“梅尔明号”上的马达加斯加俘虏发起暴动。他们想夺船回乡,最终却搁浅在今天的南非厄加勒斯角,船毁,起事者被重新抓获。海浪吞没了许多无名者的面孔,却没有吞没那则关于反抗的记载。今天值得记住,恰因它提醒我们:奴隶贸易的深处,仍有人以生命向暴政说“不”。
